Do I Qualify?
A quick self-check before you apply
- 18 years or older21 or older for armed roles — the state minimum for a BSIS exposed firearm permit.
- Valid California guard cardOr willing to get one — we can refer you to a BSIS-approved training school. The school provides the classes, not AIG.
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to pass a background check
- Reliable transportation to your postDriver’s license required for patrol driver roles.
- For armed roles: current BSIS exposed firearm permitMust be 21 or older, with firearms training and range qualification completed at a BSIS-approved facility.
